According to ancient Slavic beliefs, Wyraj is a mythical land to which souls journey in the afterlife. It was imagined as a paradise in the crown of a sacred tree, where souls rest, feast and revel in every kind of bounty, surrounded by lush nature in the company of the gods.
At our Warsaw Wyraj we draw inspiration from the ancient and not-so-ancient culture of the Slavs, their history and traditions, and take the very best from Polish nature, just as our ancestors once did. Today we are rediscovering our native, forgotten heritage.
Our kitchen is an attempt to revive old recipes, each unique in its own way, in a new form. The bar serves native spirits
and unusual drinks based on age-old recipes, all built on traditional craft and Polish produce. Our front-of-house team is always at your service, because Wyraj is a place created in line with our idea of the Polish phenomenon of exceptional hospitality.
We have built on the essence and power of nature, which speaks through the diversity and richness of the seasons. Our dishes and drinks are prepared
fresh every day from seasonal, carefully selected ingredients. This plays a key role in shaping our mysterious, mystical story.
As a place, Wyraj is a meeting of history and the present day. Here the present meets the past and carries it into the future.
The ancient culture of the Slavs and our history are reflected in the architectural details of the interior and in the art of the tapestries, which tell the story
of a feast lasting from dawn till night in a sacred grove.
Wyraj is a place with a special atmosphere – a Slavic feast in the heart of Warsaw, the mermaid city of Wars and Sawa!
Our cuisine has been awarded the BIB GOURMAND 2025 distinction by the Michelin Guide — recognition of excellent value for money and exceptional flavours.
